How it works
Small steps. Big confidence.
Slo.Mo turns anal training into a series of gentle, achievable steps. Here’s how the shape, the sizes and a session all work together to help you get comfortable, and enjoy it.
The shape
Every plug has a Peak and a Valley.
-
A tapered tipFor a smooth, easy start.
-
The PeakThe widest part. Gently easing over it and back is the stretch that helps your body get comfortable.
-
The ValleyA slimmer neck where your body can settle, relax and get used to the feeling.
-
A flared baseWide and secure, so you can relax knowing it’ll stay put.
The steps
Gentle steps that get gentler.
Most kits jump in big, even steps. Slo.Mo’s steps start small and get even smaller as the sizes grow, because the bigger you go, the more every little bit matters.
And each new plug’s Valley is a touch narrower than the Peak you’ve just mastered, so every move up starts somewhere that already feels familiar.
A session
What a session looks like.
-
Get comfySomewhere private and relaxed, with plenty of water-based lube within reach.
-
Start with plug 1Ease it in, slowly, past the Peak until the Valley rests just inside.
-
Settle inBreathe and let your body relax around the Valley. A few minutes is a lovely start.
-
Play with the PeakSlowly draw it back over the Peak and in again. That gentle stretch is where your progress happens.
-
Finish gentlyTake it out slowly, then give it a wash with warm water and mild, fragrance-free soap.
How do I know I’m ready to move up?
Listen to your body. When the Peak of your current plug feels as easy as the Valley, you’re ready to try the next one. Ease it in just past its Peak and see how it feels.
Some people move up every few sessions, others take a few weeks. Both are perfect. That’s the whole point: pace over pressure.
Materials
Body-safe, and we can prove it.
“Body-safe” gets thrown around a lot. So we had the silicone we use independently tested by SGS, one of the world’s biggest testing labs. Here’s what that means for you.
-
No nasty softenersTested for 17 phthalates, the softening chemicals often found in cheap toys. None detected.
-
Passes food-safe testsThe silicone we use passes the same US and European tests as silicone made for food, like baking moulds.
-
Clean results, all roundAlso tested for PAHs and halogens, two more groups of chemicals you don’t want near your body. None detected.
-
Meets strict safety standardsIncluding Europe’s RoHS and REACH rules, and California’s Prop 65.
Based on independent SGS laboratory reports on the silicone used for Slo.Mo.
Good questions
Which plug should I start with?
Plug 1, even if you’ve done this before. It’s designed to feel easy, so you get to know the Peak and Valley before the sizes start to matter.
How do I know when to move up?
When the Peak of your current plug feels as comfy as its Valley, you’re ready. The next plug’s Valley is a touch narrower than the Peak you’ve just mastered, so it’ll feel familiar from the start.
How often should I train?
Whatever feels good. Some people play most days, others once a week. There’s no rush, and going slowly is the whole point. If you have any health concerns, have a chat with your doctor first.
Do I need to insert the whole plug?
Yes, past the Peak, so the slim Valley rests just inside and the base sits snugly outside. That’s where your body settles. From there, how you play is up to you.
How firm are the plugs?
Medium-firm: enough give to feel comfortable and enough body to hold their shape. Plugs 5 to 7 are made a touch softer, so the bigger sizes feel just as comfy as the first.
