Getting ready for a partner

Measure your partner (or a favourite toy) and our goal finder will suggest the plug to work up to. Get comfortable with that plug, and partnered play can feel far more relaxed and enjoyable.

Each bar is a plug at its widest, shown to scale. The dashed lines show where most partners fall: nine out of ten sit between them. Slo.Mo starts just below and finishes just above, so whatever your goal, there’s a step to match.

A soft sewing tape works best. No tape? Wrap a piece of string around, mark it, and measure the string with a ruler.

Peak, Valley and Base are measured across the plug, in millimetres. Around is the distance around the Peak, in centimetres, so you can compare it with a tape measure. Length is the part that goes in, from the top of the base.

How to measure

  • Use a soft sewing tape around the widest part. For a partner, that’s when they’re fully aroused.
  • No tape? Wrap a piece of string around, mark where it meets, then measure the string against a ruler.
  • Pop the number into the goal finder above, in centimetres. It compares your measurement with the distance around each plug at its widest, so you’re matching like with like.

Sizing questions

Which plug should I start with?

Plug 1, even if you’ve done this before. It’s designed to feel easy, so you get to know the Peak and Valley before the sizes start to matter.

Will the sizes suit my partner?

Very likely. Slo.Mo’s sizes cover the vast majority of partners, from smaller than most to bigger than most. The goal finder on the size guide shows exactly where yours fits.

Do I need to use all seven?

Not at all. Some people stop at plug 4 or 5 because that’s their goal. Go as far as feels good and stop wherever you like.

How long will it take to reach my goal?

As long as it takes, honestly. Some people move up every few sessions, others take a few weeks. Both are perfect. Listen to your body and enjoy each step.

How firm are the plugs?

Medium-firm: enough give to feel comfortable and enough body to hold their shape. Plugs 5 to 7 are made a touch softer, so the bigger sizes feel just as comfy as the first.
